what is smarter a six speed 2jz gtte engine in my supra or a rb26dett 5 speed manual?

i cant decide im not sure which one i should buy. i dont know if the 5 speed and take as much horsepower as the six speed but im not sure if that makes a difference. i know the 2jz is the regular engine for the supra and i know the 5 speed rb26 is the one for the R32 skyline im not sure which engine to pick. the money for the engine is not a problem

either engines would be great.I know what your saying tho Top secret world famous company had a rb engines Supra and sayed every car should be fited with an RB.
Both great cars and engines.I suppose it depends on cost how easy to get one and do you want a project.
The Rb as with the jz engines are great tuneable engines and can both reach high bhp limits.
So its personal choice i think as there like for like.
The RB will take great limits as iam sure the jz engine will with any internal work.
So the answer is its all personal choice although you start off a little higher bhp with the 2JZ.

I read this review as I owned a new 1971 Swinger and a 1975 Duster. The 71 was excellent in all respects however the 75 was not. It was continually in the shop with ignition, carb issues. They were my first new cars even lacking a/c at the time.
