Here are some more information for Ranger Mod:

The SA-8 GECKO is a single-stage, solid-fuel, short-range, low-altitude, all-weather SAM system. The TELAR (transporter erector launcher and radar) vehicle is a six-wheeled design designated BAZ-5937.
The driver's compartment at the front of the vehicle has accommodation for two, the driver and commander, with access to it via a hatch in the roof.
The engine is at the very rear. Four command-guided missiles are carried ready to launch, two either side. The main fire control radar is at the rear of a one-man gunner-radar operator position and folds back 90 degrees to reduce the overall height of the vehicle for air transport and during high speed road travel. It is known that the radar operates in the H-band with a 360 degrees traverse and has a maximum range of 35 km. The complete conical-scan radar installation of the GECKO has been assigned the NATO code name LAND ROLL.
Each battery also has two missile transloaders based on the same chassis with a long coffin-like blunt pointed tarp roofed structure covering the cargo space and crane. When operating, the blunt point area is raised and the tarped structure is slid to the rear.
A total of 18 reloads in boxed sets of three are transferred to the TELARs by the hydraulic crane mounted centrally behind the vehicle cab. In the Regiments Maintenance battery there is a single radar collimation vehicle using the same chassis. This has a collimation antenna which lies on both sides of the vehicle and overhangs the rear during transit. In operation it is raised and mounted on each side of the hull directly behind the cab.
The SA-8a (GECKO Mod 0) high acceleration missile (Factory Index number 9M33) has a launch weight of about 130 kg. Maximum speed is Mach 2.4, minimum altitude is 25 m, maximum effective altitude 5000 m. The minimum range is 1500 m and the maximum range 12000 m. Against an F-4 Phantom target the warhead's lethal radius at low altitude is 5 m and is fitted with proximity and contact fuses. In 1980 a newer missile, the SA-8b or GECKO Mod 1, was introduced into service. Contained in a rectangular launch box it has improved guidance and speed characteristics to give an increased maximum range of 15000 m.
The warhead weight of both missiles is 19 kg. The reloading time is five minutes. Combat deployment time is four minutes with system reaction 26 seconds.
The surveillance radar of the LAND ROLL operates in the H band and has an effective range of around 30 kilometers against a typical target.
The tracking radar is of the pulsed type and it operates in the J band with a range of 20 to 25 kilometers. The two I-band guidance radars make it possible to launch two missiles at the same target, each one responding to a different frequency to frustrate ECM.
Mounted on top of each missile guidance radar is an LLLTV/optical assist system for target tracking in low visibility and heavy ECM. LAND ROLL is also known to have a short-range target acquisition capability.
The vehicle is fully amphibious, being propelled in the water by two water jets at the rear of the hull. The vehicle is fitted with an air filtration and overpressure NBC system together with IR systems for the commander and driver.

The World is your Oyster
Brian has always been a dreamer. Even as a small boy, playing Cowboys and Indians with the other children, his imagination would run riot. The village green became the Wild West as he galloped around, astride a fantasy Silver, and he was the Lone Ranger, with his best pal George as the loyal Tonto.
Whilst never really a scholar, some years later Brian discovered a fascination for Geography. He couldn't wait to learn about all those far flung places of the earth; places he thought he would probably never see. He would close his eyes, hungry to taste all those experiences for himself... the pyramids of Egypt, the skyscrapers of New York, the Grand Canyon, the Taj Mahal, Niagara Falls... he was totally bitten by a wanderlust that would never leave him.
Now, as an adult, Brian's desire to travel the world is even stronger than ever. The only thing is that he's a man who likes his creature comforts. Not for him sleeping rough under the stars, cold and wet. That might have suited him some years ago but not now, with his rheumatism. Even caravanning doesn't really appeal - could be a bit cramped for someone intent on touring the globe - and there's always the worry of whether or not the caravan has been securely coupled to the car. The last thing he'd want would be to see it overtaking him on the freeway.
A luxury motor home (or recreational vehicle, as they're often called) would be just the answer - the ultimate freedom machine for the open road. Introduced into the UK some thirty years ago, today's RV is truly a home from home with stylish d?r and just about every 'mod con' imaginable... fully equipped kitchen and dining areas, ducted air conditioning, double glazing, built-in quiet diesel generators, stylish lounge areas with sumptuous leather upholstery, beautiful wood cabinetry, huge and luxurious bedrooms with copious wardrobe capacity, washer/dryers, plush showers and toilets. Some even have walls that slide out ingeniously, making yet more of the available space, and exterior locker storage. Despite their size, they're easy to manoeuvre with automatic transmission and will access any camp site without difficulty.
Brian's heart starts to pound as he steps onboard and slips behind the wheel of his motor home to experience the adventure of a lifetime. The miles melting away effortlessly beneath his wheels, his journey begins in la belle France, in the heart of the Loire Valley - an area of beautiful countryside, studded with historic, royal fairytale chateaux, mansions, palaces and fortresses. Taking in the charm of the picturesque villages and later sampling the light refreshing wine and the superb local cuisine before retiring to the cosy bed in his RV, Brian plans the next leg of his journey. It's on to Germany. As he travels in total comfort through the unspoilt, enchanting countryside, he discovers a host of natural wonders, vineyards, castle ruins and medieval villages. Feeling almost as if he's in a time warp, crossing into Switzerland, he cannot fail to be spellbound by the sheer majesty of the snow-sprinkled mountains, lush pastures, awe-inspiring lakes and quaint towns. Brian's tour takes him to so many of the places he yearned to see, as a boy. He strolls along the golden, sandy beaches in Spain, plays golf in the Algarve and takes in the incredible, panoramic views of the Italian Lakes. He takes brisk walks through the well-marked network of trails in Austria, breathing in the fresh Alpine air and relishing the beauty and splendour of its regions. In Slovenia, right in the very heart of Europe, he uncovers a country full of amazing contrasts; lively, historic cities, primeval forests and gently undulating, winegrowing hills.
Waking from a deep and happy sleep, our intrepid explorer contemplates his travels. So that's Europe done and dusted, more or less. And as for all the other continents as yet uncharted, well, that's maybe for another time. After all, there's a limit to how many countries you can visit in one dream. But hold on to your dreams, Brian - they can come true...

Will this tattoo strechh?
Hey. Looking at getting a tatto something like http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm187/1razzer1/Angelic_tribal_wings_SWORD_MOD.jpg across the majority of my back and some sort of tribal armband. Right now I am really small 5'8'' and 130 pounds, but am going into the army rangers where I will put on weight, the average ranger I think is about 160-170. Will this weight gain cause my tattoo to deform?
Also how do you think something that large would look on a smaller guy? Think it would look alright? I think this is my biggest worry. You normally only see bigger guys with this type thing. I have a farily wide back for my size but that still ain't sayin much so I am worried it won't look right.
One last thing. Would this conform to army regulations? Already signed up just waiting for my ship date so if anybody would know this or have a link to regulations all help is appreciated. Thanks
I doubt that you'll get so huge that you will deform the tattoo. Those guys are toned for the most part and not bodybuilders. You will be humping a pack far more than you will be pumping iron. Muscle is denser than fat therefor you will lose weight from fat and put it back on and more due to muscle but your overall size may not change that much, at least not dramatically.
Tattoos are fine in the military so long as you keep them covered.
