In the mist of historic economic turmoil, I remain amazed at the number of ultra-high end vehicles on DC streets - many still sporting temporary tags. This past weekend, I took a notepad while out on my errands to document all the exotic vehicles I came across. The result was a list that read like the vehicle inventory from Gone in 60 Seconds. Would I need to upgrade my battery or alternator on my 2005 chevy impala?

Im getting a system installed in my 2005 chevy impala with 2 12inch premiers and a 2000 watt amp...I know my stock alternator is 105 amps...would i need to replace that with a high output alternator and/or replace my battery with a yellow top?

If your headlight dims with the bass notes, the “BIG 3” might work. If not an H.O. alternator will be needed, or else be prepared to pour a lot of $$$ for batteries.
