Here are some more information for Air Sensor:

In order for a furnace to operate the flame must be proved. This means the furnace needs to know that there is a flame present and burning and if not then it has to shut off the gas supply so a build up of explosive gas does not occur.
Most newer furnaces use a technique called flame rectification to determine this. This is accomplished with a simple device called a flame sensor. The sensor is a small stainless steel rod that is insulated with a ceramic insulator.
A wire is attached to the sensor on the bottom. The sensor is positioned in front of the burner which is the furthest burner from the burner that has the ignitor. When the furnace turns on the ignitor glows red hot. Then the gas valve opens and allows gas to flow through the burners and ignites when the gas passes over the hot ignitor.
Next the furnace must quickly determine if the flame is lit. A voltage is applied to the wire that is connected to the flame sensor. If a flame is present, some electrons will flow through the sensor and through the flame to the metal burners which are grounded.
The flame will conduct the electricity because free electrons are produced in a burning flame. If no electrons are flowing then the furnace knows the flame is not there and it will close the gas valve to protect against a dangerous gas build up.
A very common problem that can make your furnace stop working is a build up of silicon oxide on the flame sensor. Silicone oxide is produced when small traces of common chemicals that are present in the air burn with the gas in the burners.
Silicone oxide is almost invisible but it prevents the electrons from leaving the flame sensor and the furnace will think that there is no flame present even when there is a flame. The furnace will shut down leaving you with no heat.
To correct this problem first shut off the electric supply to the furnace. Remove the door to the burner area and locate the flame sensor. Next remove the screw holding the sensor in place. Now you can take the sensor out and clean it with a Scotch Brite pad. Replace the sensor and door and torn on the electric supply.
Cleaning the flame sensor allows the furnace to recognize a flame when it is present.
If other problems persist or you are uncomfortable working on a furnace then call, your local heating contractor.

Effective Oxygen Sensor for Better Engine Performance
Vehicles continue to pile up the roads today, contributing to congestion in the cities. Worse, a large amount of car emissions go to the atmosphere, adding significantly to the present air polution problem. Reports also say that fifty percent of Americans live in areas where air pollution level exceeds the limit set by national clean air standards. In view of this problem, automotive experts have painstakingly sought feasible measures and solutions. Car manufacturers like Mazda have also taken efforts to produce innovative car parts that could help preserve the environment. One example is the oxygen sensor.
How does an oxygen sensor work? Gasoline engines run best when the air-fuel mixture is correct. The air-fuel mixture must be controlled to reduce exhaust pollutant emissions and boost engine performance. A typical oxygen sensor detects the engine's air-fuel mixture and 'reports' this to the powertrain control module, which in turn, uses the information analyze fuel delivery to the engine. For instance, when a Mazda engine runs lean in oxygen, the Mazda oxygen sensor alerts the powertrain control module, which then reacts by increasing the air/fuel mixture of the engine.
Mazda oxygen sensors are usually divided into two types: zirconia (the most common) and titania. The first one uses the zirconia element to produce voltage, while the second one utilizes electrical resistance to generate the same voltage.
The Mazda oxygen sensor, though made from high quality materials, eventually needs to be replaced. Failing an emissions test is a sure sign of it. Other symptoms of faulty Mazda oxygen sensors include poor gas mileage, foul exhaust smell, and poor acceleration. When these occur, it is best to have the sensor checked out immediately by a professional technician. Ignoring these warning signs can cause more expensive damage to the car. Passing the emission test will be a breeze once a vehicle is equipped with an efficient oxygen sensor. More importantly, a car equipped with a tip-top oxygen sensor would definitely contribute to a cleaner environment.

Where can I find the Mass Air Flow Sensor in a Hyundai Sonata 2001?
The Mass Air Flow Sensor is either dirty or malfunctioning in my car. I need assistance on where to find it in the vehicle and any tips on replacing it. If you have instructions, I would greatly appreciate it.
Should in the air intake tube right behind the air filter. usually a square box. Should have 4 small bolts and be easily removable with common tools. ( usually torx headed bolt) When removed it will look like 2 small posts with a little ceramic piece connectting the posts. Usually has trash on it, keeping it from reading the air passing by it. It may just need to be cleaned with compressed air instead of replaced. After you clean it clear the code ( im sure thats whats maken you think its bad) and put it back in. If the code comes back, replace it. GL
