Gator football fans hearts were breaking all over the world to see Tim Tebow's last college game. This bittersweet moment of defeat at the hands of Alabama still burns Gator Nation. While Tebow graduated from the University of Florida and was picked up by the NFL's Denver Broncos, an unexpected blow was dealt to Gator Nation: Urban Meyer announced his indefinite leave of absence due to medical reasons. Articles started flying off the press about the doom and demise of University of Florida Gator football. Everyone was left with the question, "What's next?"
Urban Meyer was the talk of the off-season after announcing his leave of absence. The sometimes-fiery coach was awarded "Coach of the Year" in 2004 and his winning percentage is first place among active college coaches nationally. In 2009 his record was 96-18 as the head coach for the Gators. A ray of light shined through when Meyer returned from his leave, surprising both players and the media by showing up at the 2010 Gator spring practice. He says he feels better and is predicted to coach the 2010 season.
John Brantley is the heir to Tebow's vacated quarterback throne in Gainesville. This is great news for the Gators because Brantley has a strong throwing arm, some even dare to say better than Tebow. Unquestionably he will be the starter in the 2010 season. This sophomore is from Ocala, Florida and his 2009 stats were 410 yards, 7 touchdowns and a rating of 194.88 in limited action backing up Tebow. He looks like a promising player and a fresh new face for the Gators.
Defense is important to the overall success of the football team and Florida has one of the most intimidating defense lines this year. In addition the secondary is returning safety Ahmad Black who ranked second on the Gator team in 2009 with 70 tackles during the season. During the Sugar Bowl he broke up two passes and make five tackles in the win against Cincinnati. He has 136 recorded tackles, 8 interceptions, 10 passes defensed and has played in 35 games. He will no doubt shine as a safety for the 2010 season.
Just the sound of Janoris Jenkins name should strike fear in college football players hearts. This cornerback for the Gators had a banner year in 2009; he registered 38 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, two interceptions and broke up 6 passes from the nickel position. In the Championship game against Alabama he has 3 more solo tackles and is positioned to be a starting cornerback this season. In his two seasons leading up to his earning of the starting job, Jenkins totaled 77 tackles, 5 interceptions and 6 pass break ups.
Wipe those tears off your Gator facepaint and get your foam finger ready because Gator football season is almost here and the team is as strong as ever. With Urban Meyer back as the coach and the atomic arm of John Brantley the Gators will put up a mean fight. Defense is in full power this year as well so look out for the bones that the Gators will be spitting out.
Football season is almost here and the folks at Santa Fe Gainesville Ford Dealers are pumped up for the return of the Gators to the gridiron. When shopping for a Used Honda Accord Gainesville drivers know to trust the biggest Gator fans in town at Santa Fe Ford. This article was written by Matthew Jorn.
College Football - Why Bowl Games Are Such a Big Deal - They Bring Prestige and $139 Million
Copyright © 2009 Ed Bagley
If you are not a college football fan and could care less if you never see a bowl game in your life, you might wonder what all of the fuss is about. If you have a red-blooded male in your life, just ask him.
There will be 34 NCAA bowl games this year and the fuss in each one will be about prestige and money, big money, as in more than a collective $139 million for the participating teams and their respective conferences.
The actual bowl payouts reflected below add up to $127+ million, but the actual $139+ million figure arises because of some additional payouts for participating teams beyond the automatic qualifiers from the 6 major BCS conferences—the Atlantic Coast, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pacific-10 and Southeastern.
A team must win 6 games to be bowl-eligible, according to NCAA standards. Some of the qualifying teams automatically receive bowl bids, and others are asked to participate in the less significant bowl games.
Just about every news organization that publishes the bowl-game lineups does so by the date of the contest, the first (on December 19th) to the last (the Bowl Championship Series title game on January 7th).
I choose to do it this year by the importance of the bowl based on its payout first, and then the prominence of the game based on its participants. The first 5 bowl games listed comprise the prestigious BCS super-contests with the biggest payouts.
Here is the complete lineup for the 2009 season (which stretches into 2010).
1) $17 million - The BCS National Championship Game between Alabama (13-0) and Texas (13-0) on Jan. 7.
2) $17 million - Sugar Bowl with Florida (12-1) and Cincinnati (12-0) on Jan. 1.

Are the ECU & TCU of Honda Accord '98 Vtec 2.0 A/T combined or integrated into 1 box?
My Honda Accord '98 model, Vtec 2.0 engine, with automatic transmission, was damaged in a flood. I'm doing the repairs on it and I've already found the ECU (engine control unit(?)) behind the radio on the passenger side. I can't find the TCU (transmission control unit or module) for the automatic transmission.
could be under the seat or under the carpet on the passenger floor board about where your feet would sit if you were in the seat. pull the carpet down from the top and if it there, it will have a metal panel over it. check under the seats first. also might be in the kick panel, passenger side
